Barbie Movie Barbies

Life in plastic, it’s fantastic! The Barbie Movie dolls have been released, and they feature characters and fashions from the movie. There has already been a little bit of controversy among collectors, who were not a fan of Barbie’s bangs. However, in all honesty…the bangs are cute, but I’d advise getting that particular doll in store (Toys R Us, Walmart), in person, as opposed to online, so you can choose one with bangs you feel look good, because some can sit a little off.

Barbie x Aldo

The Barbie ♥ Aldo collab is here, and selling out fast. From my understanding, it sold so fast they will be restocking items, so if you’re wanting something that’s out of stock, keep checking back, and you might get lucky. If you are someone who has always loved Barbie’s shoes, or maybe just love shoes and accessories…this collab is for you. There’s multiple styles of shoes, some handbags, jewelry, and even some sparkly pink sunglasses! Anyone else wishing they could own the whole collection? ♥

Garden Party

This Sunday, July 23rd, is Sylvia’s Garden Party. You can arrive anytime between noon and 4:30pm. For anyone who needs more information, or directions, please contact us. Please RSVP to Sylvia, if you haven’t already, to let her know that you’re attending. Don’t forget there will also be a silent auction, with the proceeds going to the Selkirk Soup Kitchen.

June Meeting

Our June meeting will be on June 25th, at the condo. For our members who aren’t sure what that means or need more information, please check your newsletter. For anyone new wishing to attend a meeting and would like to know where to go, please contact us, and we’ll fill you in on where to go. The meeting will be at a slightly different time this month, and we ask that you arrive for around 12:30pm. We hope to see you there!

May Meeting!

April Meeting

Things are a little different this month, including the meeting date, which is on the 30th. This month the meeting will also be at the Selkirk Lounge at Red River College – Notre Dame campus. You can come for 1:00pm, and the meeting will start at our usual time of 1:30.

The best place to park is the parking lot off of Dalton Crescent, which is the bus loop entrance, in front of Building A. Then you go and enter the the main level of Building C. Security is right inside those doors, and from there, you immediately take the stairs/elevator down to the Mall Level. There will be signs helping to direct you to the elevator to A Building. Then you’ll need to take the elevator (or stairs) to the main level/first floor. You’ll see one last sign that will guide your way to the Selkirk Lounge.

If you’d like something to drink at the meeting, please bring your own beverage.

Winnipeg Doll Extravaganza

The Winnipeg Doll Extravaganza is back! It will take place at the Viscount Gort Hotel at 1670 Portage Avenue, on April 23rd. It runs from 10am to 4pm. You never know what treasures you might find!

Admission for adults is $5, and for those who are 17 and under, admission is $2. If you bring a can of pet food for local rescues, you’ll also receive an extra door prize ticket!
